Let's talk about the power of forgiveness, it’s a very serious subject matter because there are so many couples in the world who are enslaved with bitterness, anger, hatred, malice, holding grudges and resentment towards one anothers because they've been hurt.
Unforgiveness is something that can really hold you back from receiving the fullness of the blessings that God has for your marriage. It can actually block God's forgiveness of your transgressions and provide a foothold for the enemy to influence your life.
When you harbor unforgiveness in your marriage, it can lead to marital decay as well as contribute to spiritual illness. I’m going to use a quick analogy here. If you poured acid into a metal container, over a period of time the metal will begin to breakdown and the result would be corrosion.
Harboring unforgiveness can corrode your relationship with your spouse and with God, over a period of time you become so full of poison until it eats away every fiber of your being and you can’t even hear from God on how to resolve your issues.
It's time to release the anger and bitterness and all of it's characteristics . Learn to let go and let God fight your battles.
Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.
